Flights & Transport
Fly to Murcia (San Javier) Airport only 25 mins transfer to the apartment or alternatively Alicante 45 mins. Go online and shop around for cheap flights. These are extremely popular destinations and many budget airlines operate regular scheduled flights including: Jet2, Monarch, easyJet, RyanAir, Flybe, BMI Baby and Thomson Fly.
Airport Transfers
We can arrange for your party to be picked up from the airport and chauffeur driven to the apartment. The price, charged each way, is around 30 euro from Murcia (San Javier) airport and around 50 euro from Alicante airport. Larger groups and golfing parties can also be catered for in a minibus, prices are around 55 euro from Murcia and around 70 euro from Alicante. Taxi and car hire are also widely available from both Murcia (San Javier) and Alicante airport.
Taxi prices, charged each way, are around 45 euro from Murcia and around 55 euro from Alicante. We recommend Murcia airport as our preferred choice due to its close proximity to the apartment.
In order to make the most of your stay, and for you to benefit from all this region has to offer, we strongly advise you hire a car.
There are many car rental companies who operate from both Murcia and Alicante, all who get very busy. The internet has many websites offering car rental. Auriga Crown is one of the better ones – we highly recommend this company. Auriga Crown offer competitive pricing compared to the cost of transfers and/or taxi fares. They are extremely professional, speak very good English and explain the contract and insurance very clearly. Their compound is based approximately 5 mins from Murcia airport in the town of San Javier. They operate a very efficient shuttle service to and from the airport on your arrival and on your departure.
Our Spanish apartment is ideally situated close to the AP-7 motorway and the N-332 coastal road linking both Murcia and Alicante airports. The excellent road network makes it easy to explore Costa Blanca’s many historical towns and cities, not forgetting Benidorm and the fantastic Terra -Mitica theme park which is only a one hour drive away.
Villamartin Location
Our golf apartment is situated 15 minutes south of the charming town of Torrevieja on the Orihuela Costa in the established residential upmarket area of Villamartin, amidst white washed villas, palms and attractive colourful gardens. Our complex is part of a new urbanisation adjacent to the brand new Commercial Centre, La Fuente, offering a pharmacy, shops, bars and restaurants. There are delightful walks direct from the apartment around the Las Ramblas golf course, through the nature reserve and along the canal.
Villamartin Plaza
The renowned Villamartin Plaza is within walking distance from the apartment. It boasts over 20 restaurants, varying from Italian, German, Indian, Spanish, Mexican, English and Chinese most of which serves food both indoors and outdoors in the delightful courtyard.
There are also bars, a bowling alley, night-club and supermarkets, as well as a bank, pharmacy and doctor’s surgery. There are two other centres close by including the Los Dolses shopping plaza with many other shops, bars and restaurants.
